A course named to evoke an image of Robin Hood’s Sherwood Forest.

The Oarai Sherwood Course enjoys the typical climate of the eastern seaboard of the island of Honshu, with a high ratio of sunny days throughout the year. Pleasing sea breezes in the spring and summer and comfortable warmth during the autumn and winter make for comfortable golfing the year round. In addition, the surroundings provide wonderful opportunities for homebound shopping, including such seasonal delicacies as Asahimura melons, shijimi clams from Hinuma, and anglerfish from Oarai harbor. 

Another drawcard is the lunchtime buffet of Oarai seafood, employing the freshest ingredients in dishes combining Japanese and Western buffet styles and served in a sunny restaurant overlooking the golf course.

PICK UP HOLE 06
To win this hole, assessing the distance of your tee shot precisely is essential. If you aim your tee shot to the right because of the downhill, the ball may roll into the water. Instead, aim from the center to the left for a safer approach. For the remaining 100 or so yards, catch the fairway for an aggressive birdie attempt.
PICK UP HOLE 18
The hole offers a stunning view of Lake Hinuma. It can be a challenge for many players due to its significant downhill slope. However, the key to success is to aim upward and hit a high-trajectory shot dead to the pin, even though the green appears to be below.
