A midsummer tournament where senior players fire up!
Established in 2014, the tournament has been hosted by the Taiheiyo Club. Only members of the Taiheiyo Club, the tournament host, are eligible to compete as amateurs, making the tournament a tour competition with very rare entry qualifications.

Look at the resurgence of veterans and the rise of younger players!
The Challenge Tournament was established to provide an opportunity for both new players who do not qualify for tour tournaments and players who missed their seed, with the goal to foster younger players and develop the golfing community. Since its establishment in 2014, the tournament has been hosted by the Taiheiyo Club, and in 2019, it became the No. 1 tournament with the highest gallery count in the history of challenge tournaments. In 2018, it became a three-day competition where players compete fiercely to get a ticket to the next season's tour tournaments at the Taiheiyo Club Konan Course.

Japan’s only official game of the Ladies Professional Golf Associatio (LPGA)
In November 2023, the Taiheiyo Club welcomed the tournament for the 4th time at our Taiheiyo Club Minori Course. Only the top prize rankings from both the Japan and U.S. Tours are qualified to compete in this tournament. It offers a chance to see serious rounds between world-class players and Japan's top professionals every year and is an important match also in the money title fights for both tours. Moreover, the tournament winner is given the chance to play in the U.S. Tour the following year, making it a special tournament for the Japan Tour players who want to play internationally. *The 2020 tournament was held as a specially certified game solely on the Japan Ladies Professional Golfers' Association (JLPGA) Tour.
